About Us

We are a small animal rescue organisation based in Westminster, originally set up in 2021 and based out of La Maison du Chat in Pimlico, we operate as a foster-based rescue only.

This means we do not have kennels for the animals we save; to avoid the stress of such a lonely and unnatural environment we prefer to place them in foster to allow them to show their personality in comfortable surroundings.

We rely on our amazing vetted volunteer fosters for kittens and adult cats that aren't happy around other cats, or are too shy for busy spaces; and also place a number of cats in foster at Java Whiskers Cat Cafe White City, where they can have a chance to be seen and for people to fall in love with them based on their personality and not just their looks!

We aim to provide care and medical assistance to cats and other small animals across several Mediterranean countries (Cyprus, Tunisia, France, Portugal) and have grown to include new urban stray hotspots in the UK (London, Manchester) to try and help mitigate the impact of missed sterilisations during Covid, and missing Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) programmes in specific areas.

Our Mission

By working with small local rescue efforts and shelters, supporting sterilisation, finding new homes and contributing to educating the public on how to take better care of their animals, we aim to reduce the suffering and number of unwanted strays and abandoned animals on the streets while maximising the impact of our work and funds without it disappearing into large marketing budgets.

Furry Ears Rescue also places an important focus on the therapeutic benefits of pets in support of mental health and alleviating loneliness, and so we aim to particularly support adoptions to the elderly and assorted formal or informal pets as therapy programmes.

We cannot do this without your support - please help support our mission, every penny counts!
